Traders Application Form

Thank you for your interest in trading at the British Dal Festival. 

Due to expected high attendance figures we are splitting the Sunday festival into two ticketed sessions. The first will run 09:30-13:30, there will be an hour break and the second session will run 14:30 – 18:30. You will be trading all day except in the hour break between 13:30-14:30.

Please select one of the following: Street Food £175 (plus VAT) You will be allocated with a 10ft x 10ft pitch. Power is included in this fee. You must provide your own structure from which to trade, marquees must be in good condition, clean and well presented. Producer – single pitch £100 (plus VAT) You will be provided with an 8ft x 6ft space and a standard trestle table. Producer – double pitch £180 (plus VAT) You will be provided with a 16ft x 12ft space and a standard trestle table.
What would you like to sell? Please give details of produce or menus and types of pulses used within the menus, where applicable. The majority of trade must of course be pulse or dal related. We are happy to consider applications from organisations and individuals who feel that their produce will add value to the event.

Power is included in your pitch fee. If you require electricity please detail the items you intend to use and their individual power requirements. All electric equipment must hold a P.A.T. The Event Controller has the discretion to stop you using an item if it appears unsafe. You will not be charged for electricity used to power lights on your stall, however we do ask that you use LED or battery powered lights 1 x 16-amp supply provides you with roughly 3k watts so if you require more than this please apply for 32amp supply. Items such as Rice Cookers / Water Urn’s generally require 3 kw each item.

All LPG appliances must have a current safety certificate issued by a Gas Safe registered fitter. It is your responsibility to make sure your gas equipment is compliant with all current safety legislation. If not, you will not be allowed to trade.

1. All traders are required to comply with the local authority’s license conditions and to cooperate with their officials and the agents of the organisers on site. 2. No refunds will be given due to adverse weather conditions or changes to the advertised programmed events. 3. All subject to license being issued. 4. All documentation required (as per list above) must be submitted in order to trade. If any documentation is missing you will not be able to open. 5.
